AMATEUR ATHLETICS.

CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.

AUCKLAND RECOMMENDED,

WELLINGTON, This Day

The Council of the New, Zealand Athletic Association decided to reinstate J. B. Hill (Dunediit), S. Reiach (Bah'lutha) and J. T. Andrews (Stirling). It was resolved that the cycling championships should be one and threemile events. It was recommended that the next championship meeting be held at Auckland. The question of inviting Olympic Games athletes was considered. It was suggested that Nurmi and possibly another Finn should be invited and that Carr and Winter would probably come over from Australia. —Press Assn.
