A gratifying increase is shown in the revenue received by the Post and Telegraph Department for the quarter ended June 30. The revenue totalled £7(35,208, compared with £623,860 for the June quarter of 1923. The revenue for the principal centres for the Juno quarter of 1924 was:—Auckland, £163,989; Christchurch, £107,764; Dunedin, £38,144; Hamilton, £57,463; Invert-argil], £19,173; Napier, £24,943; New Plymouth, £19,875; Timaru, £22,039; Wanganui, £22,230; Wellington, £185,836. Savings Bank deposits, totalled £2,597,610, compared with £2,635,03! J,or June quarter last year. Telegraph receipts totalled £179, compared with £164.073.
