PLAGUE PRECAUTIONS.
EXTERMINATING THE EAT. (Received 11.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. As a plague precaution the city rat catchers are conducting a series of intensive drives in the city, in addi-
tion to increasing trapping and poisoning. During six months of the current year the number killed was comparatively low, showing that the pest is being kept well in hand. —A. and N.Z.
