WON BY SANSOVINO. (Received 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, June 4. . The Derby race resulted as follows: Lord Derby's Sansovnoi 1, Lord Astor's St. Germans 2, Mr Someryille Tat-tersall's Hurstwood 3. The King's liorsc, Knight of the Garter, was scratched.—A. and N.Z.

EASY VICTORY. PILOTED BY WESTON. (Rceived 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 4. Persistent rain made the going heavy in the Derby. There was an enormous crowd. Their Majesties, the Prince of Wales and other Royalties were present. After a false start the field got fairly well away. Dawson City led to the mile post, where Sansovino, ridden by Weston, began to improve its position and joined the leader when descending the hill. Dawson City shortly after cried enough. Sansovino entered the straight well clear of. St. Germans, ridden by Bullock. Sansovino steadily increased the lead and won easily by-six lengths. Parmenio was fourth and Polyphontes fifth. There were 27 starters. —Reuter.
