MCKENZIE MURDER.
SECOND CRIME ASSERTED. SUPPOSED RAVING. ASHBURTON. This Day. At the inquest, concerning the death iof Henry Suring McKenzie, who was murdered in his room at the Coldstream Estate on Tuesday, the manager of the estate said that the arrested youth, Albert Frederick Kissel, admitted entering the homestead by a side door. He also said he shot a girl that night whom he had gone to school with. Her name was Elsie Prestige. Kissel could, not remember the place where he killed her.' The police investigated Kissel's statement that Ke had murdered a girl, a former schoolmate. No such girl is known to be residing in Canterbury. The statement is believed to be a delusion, especially as Kissell at night time raves about killing Assn.
