The dance was kept up until the early hours, the dancers going home in u satisfied mood, in spite of the heavy showers. ' THE WEATHER. Changeable weather still prevails, heavy winds, sunshine and showers, with heavy rain in the night being the usual order of the times. Many parts of the roads are very muddy, and with a continuation of wet weather will be impassable this winter for heavy traffic. This should help the roads somewhat, as they are cleaning up the water tables and giving the water a free passage. PERSONAL. Mr McPhee has gone to Auckland for a holiday. Messrs J. Neale and A.
