FEARSOME BLIZZARD.

LAKE STEAMER SUNK. SURVIVORS SUFFER KEENLY. (Received 11.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, December 18. A message from Sault St. Marie, Michigan, states that it is believed that 28 people were drowned through the sinking of the tug Reliance on Lake Superior last Wednesday. Seven survivors reached port in a small boat after terrifying experiences. The blizzard blew them ashore on a lonely part of the Canadian wilds. The party included the captain's wife. They suffered terribly from cold and hunger, but managed to reach a railroad.—» A. and N.Z.
