IN BANK STREET The most successful grocer to-day is he who not only has years of practical experience behind him, but who also keeps himself thoroughly up to date with modern requrements. From the experience he has had and the satisfaction already given, Mr D. M. Ford, grocer in upper \Bank street, can claim to be thoroughly abreast of the times and the public can res assured that when he makes an announcement it can be taken as reliable. In bacon and hams for instance, Mr Ford has made a name for himself, because he will have none but the best..brands in hi? I shop. A line which he specially recommends is the P. and 0. brands of vinegars, sauces, pickles and jellies. Then again Mr Ford is the distributing agent for the famous Horseshoe salmon which is so popular on account of its delicious flavour. These few lines will serve to show that Mr Ford is putting a great deal of thought into the selection of brands, and the housekeeper is accordingly saved the trouble of worry and thought in this connection. The Christmas goods such as muscatels, < figs, rkvsins, ; apricots, prunes, dried peaches and assorted nuts, the public are strongly recommended to place their orders with Mr Ford for these, as his stocks are fresh and good. To go further and enumerate even a fraction of his stocks will only tiro the reader and Mr Ford therefore contents himself by assuring the public that there is no grocery order which he cannot supply, and all instructions are | attended to at once, prompt delivery ; being Mr Ford's motto.
