In consequence of the alterations in the railway and steamer services the following changes in the closing of mails have been made at the Whangarei Post Office:— For Auckland and South: per Manaia, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, 7 p.m.; per Kanieri, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, according to tide. Offices on the Northern railway, and Russell: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, 6.40 a.m. and 2.40 p.m. Ohaeawai and Hokianga: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, 6.40 a.m. Kaikohe: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, 6.40 a.m. Kamo and Hikurangi: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 a.m. Kg mo: 4 p.m. daily. Onerahi: Daily, 9 a.m. Mangapai, Oakleigh, Waiotira, Mareretu and Waikiekie: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, 8 a.m. Portland and Limestone: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 4.45 p.m. OUTGOING MAILS Mails close at Whangarei Post Office as follows:— Tuesday, January 31, 7 p.m. For Australian States, Ceylon, Indir., China, Japan, Straits Setlcments, Sauth. 'Africa, Egypt and Honolulu. Saturday, February 4, 7 p.m. For Cook Islands, Tahiti, Canada, 'America, West Indies, United Kingdom end Europe, via San Francisco. INCOMING MAILS. S.S. Niagara left Vancouver for Auckland, January 14; due February 3; 592 bags for New Zealand. S.S. Ventura left San Francisco, January 10; due Auckland about February C; 135 American and two United Kingdom bags.
