CILICIAN CHRISTIANS

TIMELY GUARANTEE.

ALARM MODIFIED,

(Received 1 p.m.)

PARIS, Dec. 1

The Ivemalists (Turkish Nationalists) have signed an agreement granting the necessary safeguards to Christians in Cilicia, abrogating the Kemalist law which allows confiscation of 40 per cent, of Christians' property, postponing the enforcement of inilitrfry service, and establishing a Franco-Turkish Commission to safeguard the property of refugees. The arrival of Frenen officers in the principal towns of Cilicia has considerably allayed the alarms. Many Christians are returning to their homes. —Reuter.
