Catholic Federation Conference carried a resolution that Catholics cannot he Socialists, and advising the Catholic Trade Unions to refuse to pay any Parliamentary levy, also to oppose the unions' affiliation with the Labour Party or Socialist Internationals on the ground that the former became the Socialist Party in IPIB. The mover pointed out that members were not asked to leave the Trade Unions, whose Congress was not Socialistic. Trade Unionists were being jockeyed into Socialism through affiliation with the Labour Party;—A. and N.Z.
