Comment injj upon t.ho results of the North AiK'klnnd competition, the judge made special reference to the large number of entries received from the different schools in the dir-itrict, an<? has made mention of the papers received from the Kaikohe Native School :trf being worthy of special notice. The writing of the children attending that school was excellent, and the papers were good examples of the style of handwriting which no doubt the scholars had been taught to adopt.
