OVERSEAS AND SOUTHERN SHIPPING The Maheno left Sydney yesterday afternoon for Auckland with passeng. er's, mails and a large general cargo. She is due to arrive on Friday morning and her departure for Sydney is now announced for the following Monday. On Thursday the Makura is ex pected to leave Sydney for Auckland. She will leav: for Vancouver abous March 8. The Niagara -will follow the Ma. kura a month later, and is announced to leave Auckland for Vancouver about April 5. The Marama arrived at Wellington from Sydney with passengers on Sunday evening. She is to leave Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day for San Francisco. On Friday the Tahiti arrived at San Francisco from Wellington, via ports. She leaves again on her return trip to Wellington towards the end of the week. Yesterday morning the Wanaka came into port and anchored in the stream. Her cargo consists of general merchandise.

On February 21 the Canadian Exporter left Vancouver for Auckland and Australian ports. She is bringing 700,000 feet of timber and 200 tons of general cargo, and shouU arrive about March 21. The Canadian Importer left St. John on February 13 for New Zealand and Australian ports, and due to arrive towards the end of March. Both the Canadian Exporter and the? Canadian Importer are coming to the agency of Russell and Somers. At noon on Sunday the Ltangton Hall arrived from New York and anchored in the stream. The vessel left New York on January 22 and met with fine weather during the voyage. Her cargo consists of case oil and general merchandise. The Langton Hall, which is in command of Captain Jenkins, has come out under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company.
