Her husband arrived anil tried to induce his wife to return to him. Dean intervened and drew a revolver. A running fight with reyolvcrs along the street followed between Farrington and Deen. -Farrington was -shot dead, Dean was severely wounded in the mouth, and a bystander was shot in the leg.
