MILD SMALLPOX.
ON OVERSEAS VESSEL ONE SUFFERER ISOLATED AUCKLAND, This Day., The liner Waiwera, which arrived yesterday from Britain ? South Africa and Australia, was quarantined, and a member of the crew was isolated at Motuihi Island, suffering from aliatxin which th e health inspector says is supposed to be a mild form of smallpox.
There were no passengers in the ship and there is no other suspect case, but all hands have been vaccinated. The mails carried by the Waiwera will not be handled till the ship gets a clean bill of health. —Press Assn.
