P. and W. Wakelin report havtag held their dairy cow and ■bull sale as advertised on Wednesday last, when considerably nioer than the advertised number of animals were yarded. The advertised pedigree Jersey bulls met with very good competition, there ibeing buyers in attendance from all the surrounding districts, including Auckland. The pedigree Jersey bull, KJamo's Luck, sold for 50 guineas, and Scarlet Poppy 15 guineas. The unregistered Jersey bulls made from 12 guineas to 30 guineas. Pedigree Shotrhorn bu'.ls, e ighteen-month to two-year-old, made from 12 to 20 guineas; aged bulls from £7 to £12. Dairy cows close lo profit were in demand and sold from £12 to £24 5/; well-grown heifers, clost to profit, made from £12 to £21 10/. On e hundred store cattle were yarded, and nearly all scld at prices equal to those ruling i&t the monthly sale. On e .pen of grade Jersey heifers from ten to twelve n-onths old made £8 10/. One Jersey heifer about six months old, owned toy Mrs Bedlington, made £6 12/6. One pen of 50 hoggets in their wool made 26/; 12 young pigs made £2 15/6 e ach; and a dog £5.
