The Council of Scottish Railwaymen passed a resolution expressing ■willingness to cease work immediately to support the miners.

Mr 'R. Smilliie, addressing a mass a/ieelbing of miners, said that this fight was the most serious in England's 'history. The Government .would use all its forces to beat the aniners, whose success depended on their own courage and loyalty.—A. and N.Z.
