MISSING VESSELS,

AIRMEN STILL ABSENT. (Received 8.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The seardh for the missing crews of the Amelia J. and the Southern Cross, also the missing aeroplane, has been so far fruitless. The steamer Melbourne, with a seaplane aboard, started yesterday to search between Sydney and New Zealand and then, to Melbourne. A destroyer was despatche I to-day to search for the airmen. Information received by the agents of the Southern Cross leads to the belief that the vessel has teen lost with all hands. It is believed that she struck Reid's Eock and subsequently exploded.—A. and N.Z.
