WEDDING BELLS
WINGROVE-EDWARDS
At Christ Church. Whangarei, pn .Monday, the wedding took place of ;Mr C. WingTOve, only son of Mr Joseph Wingrove, of Whangarei, and ,-Miss Peggy Edwards, daughter of ,Mr E. Edwards, an inspector of mines, Pengamm, Wales. The bride was formerly a sister a the King Edward VII. Hospital at iCardiff, and subsequently at the Cottage Hospital, Sutton-Coalfields. It was while in hospital that Ljeuten-. ant Wingrove first met his bride, who cam c out to New Zealand after his return.
! The wedding was a quiet one, 'but it was attended by the friends and relatives of the bridegroom. Tht? ißev. G. C. Cruickshank officiatedj ,and in th e absence of relatives oft the (bride Mr Dudley gave her away, 'whiljp Mrs Jas. Croft was bridesmaid, and Mr Roy Dent best man.
After the ceremony the guests .wero entertained to a wedding breakfast at Mr J. Wimgrove's reisidence, "where Mr Cruickshank proposed the health of the newly-married couple, (to which the bridegroom ably responded. Other toasts were honour ;ed and the bride and bridegroom re>ceived many good wishes.
