LORD JELLICOE >8 DESIRE.
(Special Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The House of Representatives met last evening and adjourned at once in order that Ministers and members might take part in the civic reception to Lord Jellicoe. The wekoming of the new Governor-General was the business of ths day in Wellington. The proceedings were marked by considerable enthusiasm, but were "devoid of incident.' The text of Lord Jellicoe's speeches was his desire to serve New Zealand well. Lady Jellicoe and her five children have accompanied the Governor-Gen-eral and they lent brightness to the official proceedings.
