HOW THEY DIED.

GALLIPOLI MYSTERY UNFOLDED,

NOT A SINGLE PRISONER.

(Received 9.25 a.m.)

LONDON, July 22,

General Hamilton's despatch on th. 12th August, 1915, alluded to the fate of Irish and Norfolk Teritorials, including tho Sandringham Company, as a very mysterious affair.

The Graves Registration Officers on Gallipoli have now proyed that Colonel Sir H. Beauchamp, .sixteen officers, and •250 men pushed on steadily from Suvla Bay and all were killed in fighting. Their skeletons were found unburied, facing the Turkish position. The place Where they fell is a mile beyond what became the front line.

Fifty were found alongside a party of Turks, and evidently had died in hand-to-hand conflict.

Not a man was captured, wounded or unwounded. —A. and N.Z.
