HIKURANGI

Copious rains have fallen this last week, and judging by the growth in the grass an early srping can be anticipated.

The euchre party last Thursday was again well attended the various games being keenly contested. On Friday the Leap Yean Ball eventuated and proved a great success. Ti.e fairer sex were not slow-to make good use of their opportunity, and the dancing was kept going very briskly till an early hour in the morning. Great credit is due to those ladies who took so much trouble and time to make the ball a success.
