"ARTIFICIAL WOOL"
NOT AN EQUIVALENT
SHODDY SEQUEL,
(Received 10 a.m.)
LONDON, June 19.
Professor Midgley, of the Bradford Technical College, tested samples of artificial wool from the Continent which had been claimed as possibly a serious rival to ordinary worsted qualities. He found the artificial material lacking in strength and elasticity and inferior oven to low-quality wools.
Professor MiJgley admits that the artificial wool is capable of limited, separate use, or combined with other materials, but the resultant cloth will resemble shoddy.—United Service.
