PENDING APPOINTMENTS,
WELLINGTON, This Day
It is understood that the Government will be making a number of new appointments to the Legislative Council cither before the meeting of the House or shortly nf.erwaids.
The term of two members of the Council, the Hons. C. A. C. Hardy and W. Earnshaw, expires during the present, month, and these are practically certain to be reappointed.
The report is that there arc about half-a-dozen appointments'to be made, and that there are among them some whose appointment to the Council was arranged at the time of the National Government. Ihesa gentlemen have not, been reputed supporters of the Massev Government. —Press Assn.
