REPEAL RESOLUTION,

SYMPATHY WITH IRISH

WASHINGTON, June 4.

By a vote of 343 to three the House of Eepresentatives adopted a resolution to repeal all war laws, supporters of the resolution expressing the sympathy of Congress with the Irish cavise.

It is said that Speaker Gillett informed them that he would not permit the House to give consideration to the measure. Mr Gillett's words are final in the matter. —A. and N.Z.
