DUNEDIN, June 4,

At a largely-attended meeting of the local branch of the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Officers , Association the following resolutions were unanimously carried: —"(1) That delegates to the forthcoming conference be instructed to oppose any suggestion to reversion.to commissioner control; (2) that delegates be given a free hand in regard to 'consequential adjustments'; (3) that, in the event of a complete breakdown in the present negotiations, delegates be instructed to advocate the immediate taking of a secret ballot, and that before drastic action is taken the majority shall be at least three-fifths of the total membership."
