BERRIDGE— TROUNSON.

The Paparoa Methodist Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Tuesday, June 2nd, the contracting parties Ibeing Mr Frank Berr'idge. eon of the late Mr H. Berridge, of Waikiekie, and Miss Winifred Trounson, eldest daughter of Mr J. H. Trounson, of Paparoa. The church was tastefully decorated for the occasion by the lady friends of the bride, tihe Rev. C. H. Kendon being the officiating minister. The 'bride was tastefully attired in embroidered crepe de chine, with embroidered veil and wreath of orange tolos'soms, bearing a bouquet touched with palest pink. The bridesmaid, Miss Ida Trounson (sifter of the bride) wore a primrose georgette dress touched with pink, with a (black and gold hat, primrose and pink bouquet. Mr Stanley ißerridge, brother of the 'bridegroom, attended as groomsman. The bridegroom's gift to the bzride was a gold wristlet watch and pendant and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle. A large company of local and visiting friends filled the church. Immediately after the "signing of the books," the happy couple left amidst showers of rice and confetti for the residence of Mr Trounson, wehre a bountiful wedding breakfast had been 'laid. Guests having done ample justice to the good things provided, the Rev. >C. H. Kendon and other speakers voiced with a manifest ring of sincerity the 'good wishes of the company to the wedded couple and the parents, which were responded to 'in happy vein. Mr and Mrs Berridge subsequently left by motor for Ruawai en route for Auckland on their honeymoon trip. Their home, for itJhe immediate future will be Qkahu, Northern Wairoa. As the descendants of old settlers whose name is golden .throughout -the dis? tricts of Paparoa, (Northern Wairoa, and 'Waik'iekie, Ithey will enjoy on their entrance into the marriage-bond the">God speed" of a large circle of friends, while their ancestry must touch with pride and inspiration all the future holds.
