BRITANNIA.
BRYANT WASHBURN,
VENUS IN THE EAST,
To-night Bryant Washburn will be seen in an amusing characterisation, entitled "Venus in the East."
'In most cases a Venus is made of marble. Bryant Washburn as Buddy McNair, found that his Venus was a regular statue. 'Her heart was as cold as marble. A western youth who stalks through New York's chilly broadwalks and glaring lights is naturally inclined,, for company's sake, to make a friend. Buddy was fascinated with his Venus—until he felt her marble heart. Then he was off in search of a new friend. What did, New York have to offer him? This picture will be screened to-night and Wednesday. For Thursday and Friday there will be "The Clever Mrs Carfax." 812
