The proclamation provides that any bank official who honours a cheque presented by an agent or a member of the Marine InsCtute is guilty of an offence, and concludes: "No person, organisation, or association shall, by word or deed, instigate or aid continuance of the strke," The penalty for an infringement is a tine of £100 or six months, or both and if prosecuted on an indictment the fine may be any amount or the imprisonment any term, or both.
