(Received 8.0 a.m.) BERLIN Feb. 8. A meeting to discuss the surrender of wpr criminals, attended by representatives of the navy and resolved against compliance with the Allies demand.

Field-Marshal yon Buelow declared that the men enumerated in the Allies' list had only performed their duty to the Fatherland. No German dared incur the ignominy of sucn submission. The Independents opposed the suspension of the sitting of the Diet, Herr Hoffmann declaring that Germany's fate must not be endangered for the sake of individuals. This declaration provoked a tumult. The "Allgemeine Zeitung" says: The surrender of war criminals is a question for the whole country to de. clde. The South German States must be asked if they are willing to be the victims of an invasion." —A. and N.Z.
