The "Daily Telegraph's" Paris correspondent reports that it is authoritivt'ly stated that there is no question of calling on Germany to hand over military and n,aval commanders who observed the rules of but officers against whom there is defininte proof of such crimes as firing upon people struggling in the water after the sinking of ships, mutilation of the wounded and violence against women, will be demanded.
The list has been carefully revised and is now reduced to eight hundred
names
British, French, and Belgian Governments have absolutely decided that these must b e handed over to the Allies particularly concerned. Thus Britain will deal with submarine sinkings. When the demand for surrender is made details will be pubpished in Germany.—A. and N.Z.
