(Own Correspondent,. WAIKIEKIE. The telegraph engineer visited Waikiekie last week, and met the Telephone Committee on matters of the switch-board. Suggestions wer c made with regard to the future working of the switch, and as a consequence a public meeting will be held shortly. Wakiekie and surrounding settlers will b e pleased to know that they can get their mail three times a week by having it sent to 'he Waiotira post office. WAIOTIRA. Another dwelling is now being erected in Waiotira for Mr Eagles. Mrs H. Hilford, of Maunu. is spending a holiday at Waiotira. Miss Burrows, of Auckland is also spending a holiday here.
