Mr James McKinnon was among the passengers booked for Auckland by the Manaia to-day.
Mr W. M. Fraser, the Whangarei Harbour Board engineer, was a Passenger by the out-going Manaia today. He expects to be back on Tuesday morning.
Mrs J. R. Clark, who left on an extended family' visit seven hundred miles south, has arrived at her special destination in the South IslandMrs Clark's father has been in indifferent health for some time.
The Rev. T. G. Brooke the Metbot dist Home Mission Secretary, has been spending a holiday in Russell with his wife and family, and passed through Whangarei this morning on his journey to Auckland.
Mr A. McGregor, late headmaster o f the Whangarei Primary School, has been in town for several days in connection with examination work at the school, in which about fifty candidates wer c concerned. He expects to return to Onehunga next weekMrs MacGregor is in Whangarei al&o.
