MARINE ENGINEERS' STRIKE.
SETTLEMENT NEGOTIATIONS,

Tho latest, phase of the marine engineers' trouble is that of the executive asking the shipping companies to confer with a view to an early settlement.
The Shipping Controller has agreed to the suggestion, providing that the conference is held in Melbourne. —A. and N.Z.
