KAURI GUM.
December supplies of gum, as usual, were rather above the average of the preceding months. Prices were unchanged, with a continued good demand for all grades. While facilities for shipping via Vancouver are the same as last year, the high rates of freights are troubling importers in the United States; also, as far as London is concorned, the shortage of shipping space is troubling both exporters and users.
