In Mr T. L. Drummond's old establshed ironmongery business which is now under the designation of Drummond Bros., the old adage proclaiming ability to provide anything from a needle to an anchor applies as approximately as at any business premises in the North. Investigation of the variety of articels for sale discloses an amazing assortment of goods under numerous classifications —crockery, glassware, tinware, tools of aH descriptions and for all trades, enamelware, paints, and the multitudinous requirements of builders and house decorators, give only an imperfect precis of the many lines represented in the stock. With so large and varied a collection, it is of course logical that there should be many articles eminently suitable for Christmas presents, and such presents will have the additional value of being outside the usual run of gifts. Selection from the crockery, glassware or cutlery shelves will provide ample scope for discriminating purchasers, while such things as carpet-sweepers, fire-irons, brushes of various kinds, and the various devices for reducing housework all suggest sources for Christmas presents which combine usefulness with a certain amount of novelty, enhancing their value and
