Yesterday two full rink games were played on the local green for the Swarm Cup, which Whangarei won from Kawakawa last season. Hikurangi challenged Whangarei, and were beaten by 42 to 3S, Whangarei thus retaining the coveted cup. Hikurangi.—Hamilton (lead), Rutherford 7 Cr. Coutts, McKenzie (skip) 21, v Whangarei.—Englund (lead), Orr, Hodgson, Chissell (skip) 16. Hikurangi.—J. Kerr (lead), C. Kerr, Millington, H. Pearson (skip) 17, v. Whangarei.—Marshall (lead), Herron, Larking, Allan (skip) 26. . . BUCKLES. Delamore (lead), Radcliffe, Good, Allan (skip), 17, v. Steadman (lead), W. Nutsford, Cowan, Wilson (skip) 15.
