IRONFOUNDERS' DISPUTE.
FIFTY THOUSAND AFFECTED
(Received 10.10 a.m.)
LONDON, Nov. 15
The men's representatives from the Ironfounders' Union are seeking a conference with the employers. It is hoped that this will result in a settlement of the strike, which has lasted for seven weeks, and directly involves fifty thousand men.
The number of dependent industries seriously affected is increasing daily. Several large motor car firms threaten to close unless there is a speedly settlement.—A. and N-Z.
