LETTS VICTORIOUS.
UTTER GERMAN ROUT
MORE BLUFF AND VAUNTING
(Received 8.45 a.m.)
LONDON, Nov. 12
■The "Daily Telegraph's" Copenhagen correspondent states that the Lettish rout of the Germans is complete.
The Letts now hold the left bank of the Dvina.
The Germans are hurriedly retreating towards Mitau, abandoning great booty, including many heavy guns.
The Lettish pursuit is vigorous. I* is hoped to intercept the German retreat.
A captured army order, signed by the commander of the Iron Legion, declared that the Germans in Courland were fighting for Germany and intended to sweep away the Versailles Treaty as far as the East was concerned. The order added that the German Government's order summoning the troops to return to Germany is merely bluff.—A. and N.Z.
