WHAKAPARA.

At Whakapara on Wednesday night, October 15th, & concert was held by the Whakapara Golf Club in the local hall, which was tastefully decorated for the occasion. The items of a very enjoyable programme were greatly appreciated by a large audience. During the evening Miss McDonald was presented wth a handsome necklet and pendant (in honour of her departure) by the residents of the district. Mr Combes made the presentation and Miss McDonald suitably replied. A most enjoyable dance and supper followed the concert the former being kept up till the early hours of Thursday morning. The concert proved a financial success.
