The death is announced per Low don cable of Mr H. B. Irving, the prominent actor, from complications following on a nervous breakdown. On Sunday last, the demise. took place in England of Viscount William Waldorf Astor, one of America's greatest financiers, at the age of 71. The friends of Mr and Mrs D. W. Jack will be deeply grieved to leara that they have suffered the loss of their youngest son, Edmond, who was found dead under his horse on a station neat Taihape. The young man was about 18 years of age. At the time of going to press no details of the fatality were available.
