(To the Editor.)
Sir, —I have read with some amusement Mr Curtis' remarks about his position on the liquor traffic, and especially that it is winning him supporters. For the life of me I cannot see anything new about it. It is exactly what, ibe Continuance man has put before the public for the last 25 years. There is .iothing in it but fog. There is one gain by this.letter, we knoAv where Mr Curtis stands. He is out to advocate Continuance, under guise of State Con--1 :01. To me it is perfectly clear that the natural influence of alcohol is to intoxicate, and as long as men and women drink it. there will be drunkenness. And because I want to help the returned soldiers and give them a country fit to live in, I vote out the Booze. It will then deserve the name of God's Own Countryl —I am, etc., 890 ' REFORMER.
