NATIONALISATION.

POPULAR BRITISH CRY

TRADE UNION CONGRESS,

(Received 8 a.m.)

LONDON Sept. 2

Nationalisation bulks largely on the agenda of the Trade Union Congress, at Glasgow, apart from the annual resolutions in favour of the nationalisation of means of production, distribution, and exchange. The Parliamentary Committee submits a report on the Coal Commission's findings and the Government's decisions thereon. The agricultural Labourers' Union demands a national campaign or other necessary action to secure the nationalisation of land and railways. The Clerks' Union demands the nationalisation of railways and all other means of transport. The Locomotive Engineers' Society has a comprehensive motion for the nationalisation of land, railways, and mine 3. The ship-builders and ship-wrights want the nationalisation of shipping and ship-building.—A. and N.Z.
