WREATHS BY THE THOUSAND

CAPETOWN, August 30
The funeral of the late General Botha was attended by thousands from all parts of the Union. Thousands of wreaths were sent. The King was represented by Captain Stanley, Imperial Secretary. Mrs Botha and relatives were present, and also the whole Ministry who marched in the cortege for three miles to the cemetery. An impressive lead was given by Generals van de r Venter and Brits ? mounted on huge chargers.—A. and N.Z.
