CHILD'S DEATH ENSUES.

WAIHI, August 18. •A boy named John Duffey, three and a-half years old, son of Mr Edward Duffey, Waihi Eiaist, died in hospital on Saturday evening. Dr. Brown said the cause of death was septic basal mentogitis, following fracture of itihe upper jaw and an extensive fracture of the base of the skull.
