GERMANS IN BRITAIN.
CAUTIOUS LIMITATIONS

The Home Secretary, Mr E. Shortt, announced in the House of Commons that the Government was admitting German business representatives into Britain if their admission was to the benefit of British trade. They would be subject to suitable conditions, for example, in regard to th c duration - of their stay and the places they shall visit. They would have to report to the police, and notify any change of residence. He added that repatriated Germans would not be allowed to return to Britain and to re-start businesses.
