GIPSY SMITH'S 55,000 MILES.

"I am as thin as a fiddle," said Gipsy Smith to a representative who met him in Fleet- street. "I have been having a month's holiday getting some of the sleep that is due to me, but I have still a lot to make up." The gipsy certainly looked worn, and no wonder! "I went to America in March," he said, "travelled 25,000 miles and addressed 200 meetings. I went again in August, addressed another 200 meetings and travelled 30,000 miles. To-morrow I go over to France to see the boys again." He was wearing khaki, with the V.M.C.A. collar.
