MANNING THE SHIPS,
MASS MEETING RESOLUTION,
(Received 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 14. A mass meeting of seamen to-day
rescinded yesterday's resolution and passed another similar to the Melbourne one affirming their intention to man the ships on Monday.
Meanwhile a conference will take
place in Melbourne wherein the States will be represented.—A, and N.Z.
