FIREPROOF DOORS.
■Mr Gager moved that two fireproof doors at the commencement of the concrete portion be obtained, and that the finance committee be empowered to arrange the matter. Mr Clarke seconded the motion, which was unanimously carried. INSPECTOR'S REPORT. This was presented by Mr Gillespie and decisions were arrived at after private consultation. WATER SUPPLY. The chairman of the board brought forward a report of his interview with the Borough Council.
After considerable discussion it was unanimously agreed to take the shorter route by way of Raumanga road corner to the hospital boundary, provided satisfactory arrangements could be made. It was also agreed to ask for formal permission from the Borough Council to proceed with the work. It was decided to use spiral steel six-inch pipes, and the estimated cost for the 3,100 feet (approx.) was £1500.
The board decided to leave the details to the finance committee.
FINANCE,
Accounts specified were passed for payment. The secretary was instructed to see the bank re increasing the overdraft. The financial position was very good and by the time the various dues were payable the funds would prove ample for all needs. LEAKING ROOF. It would appear that the roof of the new building leaks in places. Mr T. R. Gager felt that the matter needed special attention and he gave notice of his intention to present a motion at the next meeting.
