LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL,

WELLINGTON, Dec. 9

The Legislative Council passed the Expeditionary Forces Amendment Bill through all its stages.

The Hon. J. T. Paul questioned the fairness of the clause depriving objectors of civil rights.

The lions. J. Barr and G. J. Garland strongly supported the clause.

The Council approved the amendments made by the Governor-General in the Finance and Electric Power Boards Bill.
